Stackdule
Privacy
Stackdule is a scheduling diary. This page says what it keeps, where it keeps it, and what leaves your device. The short version: your diary stays with you.
Your diary
Everything you put in — compounds, dates, notes, readings — is stored on your device only: in the browser's storage on the web, and in the app's own storage on a phone. There is no account and no sign-up, and nothing in your diary is sent to Stackdule or to anyone else.
Backups, CSV files and calendar files are made on the device and go only where you save or send them.
On a phone, the app also keeps an automatic copy of your diary in its own storage on the device, so it can be brought back if the app's storage is ever cleared. Your phone's own backup includes that copy when you have it switched on: iCloud Backup on an iPhone, or the backup to your Google account on Android. Stackdule never sees it. You can turn the automatic copy off in Settings; doing so also removes the copies already saved.
What the app fetches
To show research and Perspectives, the app downloads them from Stackdule's own index, and loads picture thumbnails from the site of each video or podcast. When you open a compound's research page, that request names the compound. Like every web request, each one carries your device's internet address. None of them includes anything from your diary, readings or notes. Stackdule has no accounts and tracks no one. Its typefaces come built into the app, so none are fetched from elsewhere. Local-only mode in Settings stops these requests; the diary works without them.
Proposing someone
Perspectives has a form for proposing a person or show. If you send one, what you typed in that form (a name, where they publish, a link, and a line on why) goes to Stackdule's own database so the proposal can be checked. Nothing else goes with it: no name of yours, no account, and nothing from your diary. Local-only mode turns the form off.
Health
On a phone, Readings can copy your weight and body fat from Apple Health or Health Connect, with your permission, which you can withdraw at any time in your phone's settings. The readings are copied into the diary on the device and nowhere else. The app never writes to Health.
Reminders
On a phone, reminders are made on the phone itself through its own notifications, at times you set. They are optional, and nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Analytics and tracking
There are none. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and no third-party code that reports on you.
Children
Stackdule is for adults: 18 and over, or the age of adulthood where you live, if that is higher.
Who runs Stackdule
Stackdule is run by SDSCHEDULER LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17517678). Registered office: Bramleys, Oxford Road, Enstone, Chipping Norton, OX7 4LG. For anything on this page, write to stackdule@proton.me.
The only personal information that reaches Stackdule is a proposal you choose to send, and the internet address that comes with each request, which the hosting service keeps briefly in its logs. You can ask what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted, at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If any of this changes, this page changes with it, and the date below changes.
